Les Miserables Arena Spectacular World tour

This is the arena concert version of the staged musical production on the West End and Broadway. In five years this concert will tour the world with arenas and big theaters seating up to 5000 visitors.

I worked with set designer Matt Kinley on the design of the stage. The base of the design is the barricade transforming into all the needed settings, but in a more “Rock’n’roll” or “pop concert” way. Broken furniture, barrels and boxes, mixed with the world of LED screens and moving trusses.

Where the staged version’s tour contains 16 trailers to move, this tour is supposed to move partially by plane, which made it important to go back to 10 trailers. To do this, every piece had to be light weight and flattened. I made 3D models of all the dressingpieces, making it possible to "3D print" them in foam.
