Hoe Bewaar je Luchtbellen
In the interdisciplinary project 'Klinkers' where 12 different scenes were written and produced in a period of three weeks.
'Hoe Bewaar je luchtbellen', (translatable to 'How Do I Save Bubbles') was written by Maxine Palit-de Jongh, this text is set at the bottom of the sea. With a hungry hammerhead shark, an ambitious shrimp and a melancholic can of tuna. This scene comes from improvisations by the actors, in which they thought about what they would be if they were an animal or food. To this one of the actresses responded with a can of tuna, to which I responded by designing a costume for a can of tuna. When the writer saw this design, the direction of the scene was set, and she wrote the rest of the scene around the concept of the tuna can.
